Sonic the Hedgehog the Dog needs a home

Sonic the Hedgehog is an adorable Jack Russell Terrier/Beagle mix. Although he is energetic, we take him out twice a day and he is content to hang indoors the rest of the time as long as he has a chew of some sort handy.  He is very sweet and affectionate with his foster family.  Our teenaged son loves his high high-energy style of play. He loves to play fetch and would probably make a good running companion.  He gets along with our 11-year-old schnoodle. He is completely house trained and does well as long as he gets to go out a few times a day.  He has a guard dog mentality which is not for everyone. He is initially aggressive toward unrecognized humans and dogs and, as such, he can be scary and should not be around small children.  However, he is small (17 pounds) and can be easily restrained.  He would do best in a home with a large fenced yard.  He needs a special family who can work with a sweet, loving dog who is slow to warm up to strangers!


All SAAP animals are vet checked, UTD on vaccines, spayed/neutered, micro chipped, and given flea and heartworm preventative as age appropriate.
